Also, they use a 'worker walker' system where each service building sends out walkers that then 'hook up' that building to a residence. But Zeus/Acropolis/Cleopatra/Pharaoh are all pretty old. Acropolis is an expansion of Zeus (or maybe it's the other way around). All are Windows only and so will need Boot Camp. Also there's CivCity Rome (which I haven't played), and Glory of the Roman Empire (which I have played). I've heard of Children of the Nile which I believe is Impression Games' ancient Egypt city building game of about 5 years ago. Same for Caesar IV, I'd recommend either - Caesar IV is newer and your cities are more stable than under III. There's SimCity if that's what you want.Ĭaesar III is a great game under Boot Camp. I'm not aware of any similar city building games that run natively on the Mac. Same for Zeus and Caesar III and Caesar IV. Windows Only Pharaoh and Cleopatra are Windows only.
